Travel Support

A total amount of ca. 2000 Euro will be available for travel support for delegates from EURING member schemes or associated member schemes to attend the general meeting. Individual support will not exceed 300 Euro per scheme. As indicated in the e-mail in December the deadline for application was April 15. However, there is a small amount of money still available and late applications can be accepted until 20th June. The board will decide about these late applications by end of June then. The applications must comprise a list of travel costs (if not available please provide the best possible estimate) and a statement if the money should be handed out in cash at the general meeting or if it should be transferred to a bank account.

Travel

The next railway station is Fertoszentmiklos (Fertőszentmiklós) and the next airport is Budapest. Fertoszentmiklos can be reached from Budapest in 3 hours and from Vienna (Wien Westbahnhof) in 2 to 3 hours. There will be a minibus shuttle between the railway station and the conference locality.

For those delegates who join the EOU conference or who prefer to come to Vienna we will arrange a one way shuttle from a starting point near the EOU conference location to Fertőújlak in the morning of 29 August (departure in Vienna around 10.00 a.m.). This bus shuttle is not included in the conference fee and will most probably cost around 15 Euro per person (depending on the number of users).

Delegates from non-EU countries: please check if any visa arrangements are required for your travel to Hungary!

Accommodation

At the conference site we will have 10 rooms with 4 beds each and 1 room with 2 beds. Two rooms share one shower. In a village nearby (Sarród) additional rooms are available. All accommodation will be simple guesthouse standard. If you wish accommodation at a higher standard this can be arranged by our local hosts.

Conference fee

The conference fee is 95 Euro per person and includes all meals listed in the programme, accommodation and the costs for the meeting locality and the bus shuttle to the restaurant.

Not included:

• Bus shuttle from Vienna to Fertőújlak (expected costs around 15 Euro, due at the bus)
• Bus shuttle from Railway station to Fertőújlak (costs around 2-3 Euro, depending on number of users, due at the bus)
• Accommodation at a higher standard or during an additional night prior to or after the meeting will be subject to additional payments. Please contact our local hosts (see below) for these extra arrangements. An extra night is between 9 Euro (if a minimum of 15 persons stay) and 12.50 Euro (smaller group or single person) per person.

Delegates who have problems with bank transfers to Hungary please contact our local hosts. Payment then will be possible in cash after arrival.

Please register before 1 August 2007. This helps our local hosts to arrange things efficiently. If you register after 1 August 2007 the registration fee will be 110 Euro per person.
