A special conference, to mark 100 years of bird ringing, entitled International Conference on the Results and Perspectives of Bird Ringing, was held in Helgoland, Germany from 29 September to 3 October 1999.
The proceedings were published in a special edition of Ardea (volume 89 part 1) which are are available on the Ardea website.
